These are the terms used by High Pani, Contract Women, Free Servants, Peasants and when addressing the Free among Pani Household Structure:
Shogun: means Execution or Executioner (For the Emperor of All World's End and the Pani People)
Daimyo: means No (For the Ruling Lord or Prince of a Household)
Kōtaishi: means Imperial Prince (For the Shogun's Sons)
Omo: means Lord (High Pani Men of a Household)
Shujin: means Master (For Free Pani Men of All World's End)
Imperial Koaijin: means Imperial Mistress(For the Emperess of All World's End and the Pani People)
Koaijin: means Noble Mistress (For the Daimyo's Wife of a Household)
Kōjo: means Imperial Princess (For the Shogun's Daughters)
Redi: means Lady (High Pani Women of a Household)
Aijin: means Mistress (For Free Pani Women of All World's End)

Contract Women Title is based on their status. EXAMPLE: Maiko "Her Name"
Maiko (Apprentice Contract Woman): Shall go through training in dance, music, flower arranging, tea ceremony, bathing, and flirtatious or other sensual services at the Okiya (Contract Woman House). Yet has not been deflowered. A maiko is essentially an apprentice and is therefore bonded under a contract to her okiya.
Geiko (Senior Contract Woman): This level is reached after the apprentice has been fully trained and graduates though a Mizuage Ceremony in which she will be deflowered by the highest bidding male, then celebrated with a feast. She will then be in full service to the Okiya.
Oneesan ( Honorable Older Sister/Mentor): serve as a Mentor to an Apprentice Contract Woman.
Okaasan (Honorable Mother): Owns or Runs the Okiya and the Contract Woman, providing training and conducts contract negotiations to sell the contract women services
